Belief Statements
Saint Andrew educators believe that:
- The school, Church and parents work together as partners to foster faith development and to form Disciples of Christ. This faith development includes a growing understanding of Catholic teaching, devotional practices, and the Sacraments.
- The commitment of teachers, administrators, and parents for continuous improvement is imperitive to enable students to become confident, self-directed, life long learners.
- Students' learning needs should be the primary focus of all decisions affecting the work of the school.
- Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support learning.
- A clean, safe, physically comfortable environment promotes student learning and self-esteem.
- Students learn to make appropriate decisions in a supportive and challenging learning environment.
- The ultimate goal of Catholic education is to develop caring, responsible, and contributing members of the Church and society.
Mission Statement
The mission of our school is to foster Gospel values of peace, justice and love in an academically rich atmosphere of mutual respect and trust. We challenge all students to use their special gifts and talents to continue to grow in knowledge, discipleship, and their Catholic faith with the support of family, parish, school, and community.
