We believe in books at Saint Andrew School!

We maintain a library with stacks of over 16,000 books, divided into two separate rooms to direct students to age-appropriate material. We offer books of fiction and non-fiction and several periodicals. Library skills and etiquette are taught to students in grades K-6.

In addition to scheduled library time, students can check out books before and after school.

EASY ROOM

Our Easy Room is recommended for grades K–4 and contains over 3,000 titles. The Easy Room is also equipped with a reading stage and Clevertouch screen for instructional use.

ACCELERATED READER

St. Andrew School subscribes to Renaissance Learning’s Accelerated Reader program. Accelerated Reader encourages children to read at their own pace, incentivized by points that are earned as they complete each book. Upon finishing a book, a student may take a short quiz at school, earning points that accumulate throughout the year. Outstanding readers from each grade are rewarded at the end of the school year.
